NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Terence Jeffers, who started 21 of 25 games while at Connecticut, has enrolled at Vanderbilt and is joining the Commodores' football team despite having to sit out the 2008 season. Vanderbilt coach Bobby Johnson confirmed Wednesday that Jeffers is on campus and has worked hard to join the team. "I look forward to him being a great contributor on the practice field next season and a valuable player on Saturdays starting in 2009," Johnson said. Jeffers will have two years of eligility left. He started every game in 2007 and led all Huskies receivers with 44 catches, helping UConn share the Big East championship and a spot in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
