What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" -- which is simply a way of allowing you to access information from a variety of sources in a way that is easiest for you.

Web sites use RSS to easily create and distribute news feeds that include links, headlines, and summaries. We make these available to our viewers so you can keep up with your local news, as well as sports and weather.

What do I need to use RSS?

To use an RSS feed, you need either a program or a website that gathers the data into one spot. News aggregators, also known as news readers, are programs that gather and organize the information from your RSS feeds. There are also web based news readers that allow you to add your RSS feeds to a web page, then read them all from there. Some examples of these are My Yahoo! and Google.

You can find more information and links to reader software by searching Google for "RSS Readers".
