Halloween Decoration Tips

Every year children are injured while trick or treating either from decorations or by their costumes. But, there are some ways you can protect your kids. First make sure your home is safe by checking your outdoor lighting, a well lit house will be much safer for everyone. Inspect your property, make sure the path to your door is safe no cords or things people can trip on. Watch you decorations make sure they are not obscuring walkways and causing hazards. Keep your pets inside; sometimes even friendly pets on Halloween can become agitated. Now when it comes to kids costumes make them as bright as possible add reflectors if they are not bright. Have your child carry a flashlight. Make sure they wear sturdy shoes. Make sure the Ninja is not carrying a fake sword that is sharp. Buy only flame retardant decorations and costumes, and do not let your children eat any Halloween candy until it is inspected by an adult.
