Gun Found on School Campus in Birmingham

Two eighth graders are suspended after being caught with a gun on campus.
The principal, after being alerted by a teacher, found the unloaded .25 caliber handgun wrapped in a jacket in a hallway at Smith Middle School on Thursday afternoon.
The students could be expelled or sent to alternative school for the incident.
