13 People Jailed in Drug Raids across Jefferson County

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A series of raids targeting drug houses across Jefferson County resulted in the seizure of weapons and illegal drugs.
Sheriff Mike Hale said in a statement Monday, deputies assigned to the Narcotics Division conducted the recent operations in less than two weeks.
13 people were arrested on drug and gun-related charges.
Hale said drug houses were found in the following communities: Center Point, Woodlawn, Gate City, Ensley, East Lake, Smithfield, College Hills and the Pinson area.
