Singer, Actor Jerry Reed Dead at 71

Children of the late 70's and fans of Smokey and the Bandit will certainly remember a trucker named Cledus “Snowman” Snow. Sadly the singer turned actor who played Snowman, Jerry Reed, has died.
The 71-year-old entertainer died Monday from emphysema.
Besides making the Bandit movies legendary, in the late 70's and early 80's Reed had a string of radio hits like "When You're Hot, You're Hot" and "Amos Moses" and "East Bound and Down" from the Bandit movies.
