Bronze medal winning boxer Deontay Wilder has returned home.  The 22-year-old heavy-weight spoke Thursday at Skyy Gym in Northport, where he trains.

It's about to get awfully busy for Wilder, who is the lone American fighter to win a medal in Beijing.  He's scheduled to appear on "Friday Night Fights" and will be grand marshal of Tuscaloosa's Labor Day parade.

"Sometimes I still, just at night, I just sit back and think how far I've come in the short amount of time and it blows a lot of people away but it really blows me away as well," said Wilder.

The 6’ 7” Tuscaloosa native is expected to go pro but has yet to announce when.

Wilder began his amateur career in 2005.  He won the National Golden Gloves and the U.S. championship to qualify for the Olympics.
