Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies Make Huge Drug Bust

Cars, guns, motorcycles and thousands in cash…sounds like a fire sale, but they're actually just a few of the things seized by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies snatched it all in a string of drug raids. They also spotted marijuana plants from the air, in Graysville, Adger and Bessemer. In fact, deputies found 33 plants on 22nd Avenue in Bessemer.
Sheriff Mike Hale said, "Always a moderate amount of dope, always a moderate amount of cash, but this ought to scare the heck out of anybody because when they're not dopin', they're robbin'."
Right now three people are under arrest. But a fourth man, Desmond Pruitt, is still at large.
Other drugs seized from Birmingham to Pinson include cocaine, heroin and a wide variety of pills.
