It may sound like your typical indie rock, but the material these bands base their music on comes straight from the pages of the Harry Potter novels.

"People are always really suprised about it, actually.  Really?  You can do that?...  All summer long?... And people come and see you?  But, I don't know.  What is better than books about fantasy and dragons and stuff like that.  I mean, Led Zeppelin was doing it in the seventies and they're pretty awesome," says Alex Carpenter of the Remus Lupins.

Alex is fairly popular among the teen and pre-teen girls that make up a majority of the audience, and he even joined fellow Wizard Wrockers Jusitn Finch-Fletchley and the Sugar Quills for a few songs.

"Yeah, this is a lot of fun.  We've been on the tour for this whole entire month, now," says Justin Michaelman, the bands lead singer.

Like any other pop/rock show, the bands sell records, shirts and other merchandise.

Adam Carpenter of The Mudbloods says they all take a very do-it-yourself approach: "All the stuff we're doing is completely dyi.  We're printing our own records, printing our own shirts, and paying for everything with the stuff we get at the shows...  I mean, as far as the independent music scene goes, this is as legitimate as you're going to get."

Organizations like the Harry Potter Alliance help out with venues and making shows like this one free for the evergrowing Wizard Wrock fan base.

"They listen to podcasts, they read fan fiction, they write fan fiction, and they do fan art.  So, there are all kinds of different parts of this fandom, but Wizard Wrock has the biggest following right now because it's really kind of the most fun," says Paige Fague of HP Birmingham.
