Okay, so we all know "The Dark Night” is a classic work of fiction. But let me digress… If you were a billionaire like Bruce Wayne and you had the time, would it be possible to put on the cape and cowl and fight crime?
The Dark Night's premiere is a big boost to local comic book stores. And as the owner of Kingdom Comics, Stan Daniel knows a thing or two about Batman. But even though Daniel says Batman is the most human of super heroes, he's not buying that anyone could pull off the tights and the utility belt.
“I think the fantasy element in Batman enables him to do what he does. I don't think those elements are here in reality though to enable a person like that to do what batman does," said Daniel.
Fan-boy fun aside, you can't become Batman with just money and passion alone. You actually have to have some skills. The kinds of skills the guys of Spartan Fitness spend hours a day in the gym to learn. Owner Chris Conolley says mastering Batman's moves is possible, but not on the fly.
"It's definitely not a ‘buy a six day training package and we're going to make you a master of all martial arts’. No, it's a lifelong process for sure," said Conolley.
Be on the look out for a book called "Becoming Batman," which hits stores this fall on the topic of becoming a costumed crime fighter.
