Pell City is making plans to contnue honoring 29-year old police officer Greg Surles who died Friday, July 4th around 10 a.m.  Officer Surles was hospitalized after a June18th collision with an 18-wheeler.  Pell City Mayor Adam Stocks says some tribute to Sureles have already been put in place such as blue ribbons and car decals with his badge number.  Others, like a monument in his honor outside City Hall are still in the works.  A viewing for officer Surles has been scheduled for Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church on Cogswell Avenue.  A funeral will be held at that same location Monday at 2 o'clock.
