A Fourth of July cookout ends in bloodshed in Fairfield. 40-year-old Michael Kemp was found by officers laying in the yard of his Avenue E home just after midnight Friday morning.
A family member called 911 after a domestic dispute ended in shots fired.
Fairfield Assistant Police Chief Leon Davis tells CBS 42 News, "For right now, what we're looking at is a family dispute. He was shot multiple times at his residence at a family cookout. We do have one suspect in custody. We interviewed one suspect already. We do plan on signing warrants on them in the next 24 hours."
Kemps death is the second homicide in Fairfield this year.
