Fuel Prices Set New Highs in Alabama

The price of fuel continues to climb into record territory.
According to AAA Alabama, the price for regular rose another penny overnight to $3.71 a gallon. Midgrade is $3.97 while premium costs $4.08 a gallon. Diesel will set you back an average of $4.45 a gallon.
A look at metro prices around the state finds Tuscaloosa's average for regular is the highest at $3.74 a gallon. Birmingham's average of $3.70 is the cheapest.
The auto club said the national average for regular gas is just under $3.81 on Wednesday. That's 60 cents a gallon more expensive than a year ago.
The price of crude oil also soared to a new high, eclipsing $130 a barrel.
