Some scary moments Thursday night for some Shelby County deputies after someone started shooting at them as they tried to arrest another suspect. It happened at a home near 3rd Street and 6th Avenue Southeast in alabaster around 11pm.
While deputies tried to serve a warrant for 43-year-old Lisa Conner Williams, a struggle ensued, someone fired three shots at the deputies, and the woman fled on foot.
Sheriff Chris Curry says he's just happy no one was hurt in the ordeal.
“To say that we were very fortunate not to have an officer injured or killed in this incident is an understatement, and there is no circumstance or excuse for the man to have fired at our deputies."
The woman who fled was captured Friday morning.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Danniel Raynard Williams was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest with more charges possible. 21-year-old Victoria Lynn Conner was also arrested at the scene for obstructing justice.
