Birmingham homicide detectives are busy investigating the city's latest homicide.

It happened Monday night at the Jerry's Quick Stop at 4930 Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard.  Police arrived to find paramedics treating 29-year-old Michael Kissi from an apparent gunshot wound.  He was taken to University Hospital where he died.

Detectives think the victim may have been shot somewhere in the 4600 block of 14th Avenue North.

There have been no arrests, and police continue to investigate.  This is Birmingham's 28th homicide of the year.  That's compared to 21 this time last year.
