Birmingham Police are investigating a triple shooting that happened just before 3pm Sunday in Wylam.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of a gas station at 7th Avenue Wylam and Jersey Street during an altercation with an unidentified suspect, according to police. Investigators said they were not sure what started the fight between the four young people, but that it resulted in a 12-year-old, a 19-year-old, and a 22-year-old all being shot.
Police said one person was hit in the arm, one was shot in the leg, and one was struck in the hip, but none of the injuries appeared life threatening. Authorities said no suspect had been identified.
