To say it simply, this new cell phone service does just about everything but cook you dinner!
"It puts everything in your cell phone, and makes your life completely simple, you have access to directions to everywhere you need, from hospitals, to gas stations, to entertainment, to schools." said Brian Conley with Verizon Wireless.
And, with the sky-high prices of gas these days, one particular part of this service can actually save you money!
The GPS locator will immediately find the closest gas stations with the lowest prices, and then, direct you how to get there!
"Now, with the 3D navigation, you get turn by turn directions where you're gonna be in a situation where it's gonna allow you to know when you're making a turn, and be able to know when to get off the exit, without having to guess if it says 500 feet, it actually shows you where to get off the exit." Conley said.
You can search eating, drinking, gas stations, ATM's, movie theaters, hotels, emergency, travel and more!
So, why did Verizon choose Birmingham as one of 75 cities nationwide to carry this service?
"Verizon recognized where heavy traffic areas are at, and sees where people are traveling a lot, on highway 280, and I-65, during high traffic hours." said Conley.
If you live in the Birmingham metro area, this might be something up your alley.
The service costs 10 bucks a month for unlimited use.
