When was the last time you stopped and looked at a missing persons flyer?
Anna Robinson admits that until this week, she never gave the banners much thought. "Now that I have a loved one missing I pay more attention to the flyers because I know how it is because my loved one's out there and I don't know where he is."
But everything changed last Friday after Anna's husband 71 year-old James Richmond took a weekly bus ride to Mississippi for some fun.
No one thought much about it because Richmond always came back, and was waiting outside for his ride at the Five Points West Arby's.
On April 18th after getting off the bus employee's of the restaurant say they remember Richmond stopping in. It was about 8:30 at night. He didn't stay long. And that's when police say he disappeared.
The family says they arrived within 30 minutes of the bus arriving. But there was no sign of Richmond. And he couldn't have gotten far on his own because he walks with a cane.
And then there's the medical history to consider. Tori Richmond says her father is in poor health. "Over the last couple of years he's had about five strokes, the last one was a massive stroke. He actually had to be put on life support. He's diabetic and he hasn't had any medication since Friday morning."
Since that day the family has pulled together and prayed. They've also distributed more than a thousand flyers around Five Points West.
Now they are just asking you take a look and remember Richmond's face. "If you see him, please don't think that he's homeless. He has a family, my family, we're looking for him we're waiting on him to come home. I know he's okay!"
James Richmond was last seen wearing a black Army jacket, a veterans cap and blue jeans. If you have information please call the Birmingham Police Department.
