BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- May kicks off the summer blockbuster season, which means there are numerous movie date nights taking place each and every evening at movie theaters.
Simple theater etiquette can go a long way in making a moviegoer's experience fun and enjoyable.
If a moviegoer happens to have to deal with a disruptive person in the theater, experts say there are ways of dealing with the issue without escalating the situation.
Experts say asking the person to be quiet is not going to truly help the problem.
Instead, they say moviegoers should offer an "excuse me."
If the person does not quiet down, experts say it is wise to go to the lobby, ask for a manager and trust that he or she will handle the situation.
Experts add that if a moviegoer is not someone who constantly needs to be connected, take a break from cell phones and enjoy the movie with the other people in the theater.
