BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Operation Stop, which was conducted on Tuesday by the Birmingham Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, resulted in landing seven people behind bars.
The suspects were taken into custody in a variety of charges.
All of the suspects are in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
Among those charges are possession of meth, cocaine and marijuana.
Police also confiscated several weapons, including a handgun and short-barrel shotgun.
Seven different addresses were searched during the operation.
Investigators say those addresses came from people in the community.
