BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- On Tuesday, the Hassinger Daniels Mansion reopened as a newly renovated bed and breakfast.
In two and a half years, architect and owner Sheila Chaffin renovated 10 bedrooms, a dining room and several common areas, including the original, historic décor.
It's the only other Victorian bed and breakfast in the city, other than another one Chaffin also owns.
"Usually it's very appreciative comments, because all of their life the house has been here and they're just delighted it's being reconstructed." – (Sheila Chaffin)
The Hassinger Daniels Mansion has sat on Birmingham's Southside for more than a century.
It is open 24 hours a day.
