BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- There's been a shakeup on the board for the Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama.
Six members have resigned, including the board president.
CBS42 has been reporting for months about the growing concerns that four of the six camps were closing.
Many Girl Scout leaders have fought the decision.
Just last week, the board voted to reconsider and look at re-evaluation at the January meeting.
A Girl Scout representative says the six members who resigned were part of the board that had voted for the three-phase property plan.
"This is a challenging time for our board members. However, they are excited about the upcoming strategic planning process," new board president Dawn Stanley said.
