DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Four people have been arrested in DeKalb County after five meth labs and a marijuana plant was discovered by a deputy near Crossville, Alabama.
According to a report from Sheriff Jimmy Harris with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, the deputy initially arrived at the home to follow-up on a missing persons report.
Upon arrival, marijuana plants were spotted and one person fled the residence.
Four people were detained and 40 marijuana plants, chemicals and drug paraphernalia and five meth labs were found on the premises.
The suspects taken into custody are 43-year-old Michael Mooneyham, 18-year-old Hannah Beth Mooneyham, 49-year-old Cynthia Kay Mooneyham and 40-year-old Stacie Mooneyham.
All four were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of controlled substances, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and trafficking in marijuana.
A warrant has been obtained for 41-year-old James Dewayne Nelson, the person who fled the scene.
The suspects are being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center and are awaiting bonds.
