JASPER, Ala. (WIAT) - The football season is over for Walker High's head coach who has resigned from his coaching responsibilities.. he could face formal charges.

Alabama law clearly states it's a crime to harm a sports official, like a referee or a coach, even if it's by another coach.
The Walker-Cullman fight between Walker Coach John Holladay and Cullman defensive coordinator Matt Hopper has some wondering if it will lead to legal action.

Holladay hasn't been charged, but Jasper police are investigating.
The fight broke out friday night after a football game.
