BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The East Lake Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. every Saturday through October, starting May 4, 2013.
A strawberry festival will mark the opening of the market.
The market is located at the corner of 2nd Avenue South and 78th Street in Birmingham.
In addition, a food truck fair will make its way to Birmingham on Saturday.
The Food Truck Roundup runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Colonial Brookwood Village in Homewood.
Tickets to the fair are $25.
Proceeds benefit Preschool Partners.
The organization prepares at-risk 3 and 4-year-olds and their parents for kindergarten.
