BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Ice cream is always a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.
On Thursday, it has a much different purpose, though. It also helps some very special children.
Thursday is Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen.
For every Blizzard sold, Dairy Queen will donate $1 to Children's of Alabama.
The event is a cause near and dear to Dairy Queen's heart.
In 2012, the company donated more than $40,000 to the hospital.
