BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Tempers continue to flare over a controversial billboard in Birmingham.
City and county leaders are being inundated with requests to have the billboard removed.
Jefferson County Commission President David Carrington says he's received more than 1,000 emails about the ad for the dating site ArrangementFinders.com
The billboard is located near the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.
The commission voted this week to ask the sign's owner to take it down.
Carrington says it's inconsistent with values that most people in Jefferson County hold.
ArrangementFinders says it has no intentions of taking down the billboard.
