BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A number of places across west and central Alabama are rallying together to take donations for those impacted by Monday's storms in Oklahoma.
A list of those locations can be found below.
Recommended donation items are gift cards, non-perishable foods, tarps, flash lights, batteries, diapers, clothes, Gatorade, bottled waters, soft drinks, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, hair brushes, dental cleaning products, shaving cream and soap.
In addition, 95.7 FM and The Rock Church are hosting a relief effort called Operation Teddy Bear on Tuesday evening until 7 p.m.
The operation has been developed to collect all new baby items and teddy bears for the children impacted by Monday's tornadoes.
The relief effort will be held at the Lakeshore WalMart located at 209 Lakeshore Parkway in Homewood.
Birmingham UPS Store located in Cahaba Heights. 3171 Green Valley Road, Vestavia Hills, Alabama 35243.
Jefferson State Community College on Carson Road in Birmingham. Dropoffs are being taken at the George Layton Building in room 123.
Cahaba Mini Storage in Shelby County will be a drop off location Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those wishing to donate at this location are asked to place all items in plastic containers or in plastic garbage bags.
Batteries Plus at 5619 Grove Boulevard in Hoover.
Young Jewelers located at 401 19th Street West. The business is asking for hygiene items and gift cards only.
Bama Mini Golf located at 7825 Highway 69 South. Donations will be collected from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. beginning May 21 through May 24.
