PLEASANT GROVE, Ala. (WIAT) -- UPDATE (2x): According to Chief Knight with the Pleasant Grove Police Department, the woman who was found with a bag over her head and claimed to have been assaulted filed a false report.
Charges are pending against the woman, and warrants are expected to be issued on Wednesday.
UPDATE: According to the Sgt. Danny Reid with the Pleasant Grove Police Department, a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy was driving down Forest Road around 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
The deputy noticed a person laying on the side of the road with a bag over their head.
The officer pulled over to the side of the road to investigate and discovered that the person was a female and was alive.
Local fire and police were called to the scene, and the woman was questioned about what happened.
The woman said she was at the cemetery the night, and she was visiting the grave of a friend.
She said she was assaulted while she was there, but that is all she could remember.
The woman was transported to a local hospital, and police are awaiting test results.

A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy tells CBS 42 that a young woman was found with a bag over her head in a cemetery near Five Acre Road and Forest Road.
Police tell us the young woman is alive and has been transported to the hospital.
Her condition is unknown at this time.
