It's been almost a week since the body of Major Bashinsky was recovered from a lake at Highland Golf Course.  The attorney and son of the founder of Golden Flake had been missing since March 3.

In that week the members of the Bashinsky family have waited answers to all the tangled questions about his death.  Mountain Brook police had control of the case when it was a missing persons case.  The body was found in Birmingham, but the Birmingham P.D. appears to be waiting on a ruling of official cause of death.

Major Bashinsky's widow Leslie has talked about her husband, her young children and their wait for answers.  Sloan and Brooks Bashinsky,  Major's adult children from a first marriage, have asked the media to respect their privacy while they sort through their grief.

The most vocal member of the family has been another Sloan Bashinsky, Major's brother, who currently lives in Key West and blogs on Good Morning Florida Keys.  Brother Sloan has shared his speculations and ruminated on his troubled relationship with his brother and the extended family.  It's a poignant behind the scenes glimpse.
