Greenetrack will not shut down and it has a strong message to pass along to anyone who tries to get in its way. Senator Bobby Singleton says he will not let Greene County residents down and that he will make sure that their facility stays up and running. He also says there are too many people who rely on the jobs and money the facility funnels into the community. Singleton went as far as to say that unless Governor Bob Riley and his Illegal Gambling Taskforce showed up with a warrant, he would use any force necessary to keep them out.

"I as a senator for this area will go to our local sheriff and ask him to deputize as many men as possible that are needed to meet this force. I personally will stand in this door if I have to stand alone, if I have to go to jail along with others. We will not let them in and close this business down," says Singleton.

Singleton says that 13,000 machines in Greenetrack have been certified legal by Gaming Laboratories International under the six criteria handled down by the Alabama Supreme Court. Singleton adds that the bingo ordinance on the Greene County books was voted on by the people. He also says the community will not stand for any operation conducted without a warrant.

I don't feel that the Bible thumpers here in Alabama should be able to tell everyone what they can or cant do.They talk about gambling addiction, well what about alcholiism, smokers addiction or drug addiction? If they want to take away something that ia a form of entertainment for the majority of the people that go to the bingo halls then they need to close all the bars and liquor stores, stop the stores and gas stations from selling cigs. and close down all the drug companies that manufacture drugs. All of those addictions are more dangerous and deadly than putting a dollar bill in a gaming machine. I think it has just gotten to the point of now it is power struggle. Let us vote just like the people of Greene County did,, they wanted Bingo and they passed it. If our vote means nothing then Riley needs to pack his bags and get out of Mongomery,, after all he was voted into the office of Governor.

When Riley ordered troops to Victoryland, he posted troopers at the only entrance to the entire complex. They refused to let anyone in for any reason. When employees came to feed and water the dogs, the troopers refused to let them in to take care of the dogs, even the ones being housed there by the foster shelter to be adopted out. Regardless of what you think about gambling, no animal lover should agree with this!! This is animal cruelty.
