Federal Judge Harwell G. Davis III has set the trial date for former Word of Life Christian Center Youth Pastor William David Webb for April 6th.

The date is just over five years from the time that Webb is accused of taking an underaged girl from the church and accross state lines to Oklahoma where court records indicate a sexual act took place.

The incident took place over four days starting March 31st, 2004 with the two returning to Birmingham on April 3rd.

Court records show that Webb is free on $500,000 bond and was released to the custody of his parents, William Scott and Phyllis Webb who reside in Trussville.

Webb also faces state charges of Rape 1st Degree, Rape 2nd Degree, and Sexual Abuse. Jefferson County Judge Tommy Nail has been assigned that case.
