How can I not blog about it? I love this time of the year because it is guaranteed excitement for the next three weeks. And we are among the fortunate folks in the country here in Birmingham. We’ve got first and second round games with three of the top 15 teams in the country. Awesome!
Normally I’m this excited about the NCAA games at the start, and depending on my brackets the enthusiasm builds all the way up to the final four and the championship game. Last year I did alright for myself. (Second place out of forty people) But I have to admit I had a little help on my brackets. But who doesn’t consult their people to make sure they are making educated picks. That’s not say people who pick based on uniform color, mascots or coach’s last names aren’t making educated picks. It’s what works for you. Just make sure look the part when it comes down the stretch. Don’t be surprised that your team made it as far as they did in the tournament. And be sure to cheer wildly and passionately even if you hadn’t heard of the team until you got your brackets.
Now if you are a professional bracketitcian and pick your teams based on the records, averages, stats and stuff like that. Go ahead and throw all that out of the picking process. As you know this is March Madness and anything can happen.
