The dry weather set up another great Friday for Alabama with high pressure well in control of our weather. That should carry right into the weekend forecast for just about the whole state. There are some changes ahead though.

While the weekend should be dry statewide, we'll have the moisture associated with "IDA" moving into the Gulf of Mexico by late Sunday, pushing into our state. That will bring us some cloud cover and more moisture to support showers as we get into the first of next week.

Our forecast past the weekend is a bit challenging with the changes in the projected path of IDA. As with all tropical systems, they can be flaky on their paths and times of arrivals. So, we're going to follow it carefully through the weekend. We're still going to get some rain thanks to IDA, but we're also seeing the latest forecast track from the National Hurricane Center show it turning into Tampa Florida late on Monday. ALOT of unknowns out there, so stay tuned to CBS 42 and we'll have updates throughout the weekend as well.

College football will go off with out a hitch...as will high school football around the state. Have a great weekend!
