Another Trough pushing through Central Alabama this morning. This will reinforce our dry

conditions once again. High pressure remains in control through the weekend.

Lots of sunshine today but a touch cooler with highs in the mid 60s. Overnight another clear and

chilly night as temperatures dip into the 30s.

Moisture will slowly build up over the weekend and by Monday we will bring back some rain chances

into the forecast.

We have also been watching what is right now Hurricane Ida, but barely. Ida's maximum sustained

winds are estimated at 75 miles per hour. She will quickly weaken as she interacts with land, turning

into a Tropical Depression at some point. Drifting to the Northwest, Ida could restrengthen to a

Tropical Storm as she moves back over water. Ida may get into the Gulf of Mexico by the first of next

week. Will watch her closely.
