Teachers,

Are you looking for extra lesson plans to share with your class while teaching weather? Here at CBS 42 we’ve developed a program which is designed to work hand in hand with your curriculum while helping students learn about the different elements of weather and weather forecasting.

It’s a five part series of videos hosted by Chief Meteorologist Mark Prater and the rest of the CBS 42 weather team. Each video discusses a wide range of weather related topics and can be downloaded right here at CBS 42.com!

After completing all five parts of the series, let CBS 42 know and we’ll send each student a certificate naming them a Jr. Meteorologists for their area. It’s a fun and educational way to get your children interested in the incredible science of weather. Plus, after your students have completed the course, you can add video of them to the www.cbs42.com website to share with parents, relatives and friends.

There has never been a program like this offered in our area and we hope you will take advantage of this unique opportunity. This is your chance to bring CBS 42 meteorologists right into your classroom to talk about weather. It is fun, educational and includes “Bisquit” the Weather Dog!

To play the video simply click on the topic. When the video is ready it can be played through a projector directly to your students. Each lesson includes a series of 10 questions at the end which you can also share with your students.

This program is designed for students in grades K-5.

If your class has completed the Jr. Meteorologist Program, click here to receive your certificates signed by Chief Meteorologist, Mark Prater.
