Tuscaloosa, AL (WIAT) - With Signing Day four days away, Alabama wasted no time gathering commitments for their 2013 recruiting class. The Crimson Tide held its Junior Day, where they host recruits on campus and hauled in 3 of the nation's top players.
The day began with a pledge from Altee Tenpenny, a 5'11, 200 pound running back from North Little Rock, Arkansas. Tenpenny held offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Oklahoma & Oklahoma State. He rushed for 1,121 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore. He was injured for much of his junior season.
The news only got better as Fultondale athlete ArDarius Stewart also made his commitment to the Crimson Tide. Stewart accounted for 52 touchdowns on the season for the Wildcats (30 passing, 20 rushing, 1 KR, 1 INT return).
At the end of the day Alabama snagged the first wide receiver in the 2013 class in New Orleans native Raheem Falkins. The 6'3, 190 pounder also held an offer from home state LSU.
With the three commitments today Alabama already has seven verbal commits for the 2013 class.
