Birmingham, AL (WIAT) - The Securities and Exchange Commission told a federal judge Wednesday that it won't seek civil penalties or a repayment of money from former Jefferson County Commissioner and Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford. Langford does not have to pay any penalties, restitution, or any other fines imposed on my by the SEC in regards to this case. The SEC is dropping its case, but this does not affect his current prison sentence.
