Jeffco debt decision approaching rapidly

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - The Jefferson County Commission could be days away from making a decision that may impact the entire county for years to come. 

Whether to file for Chapter 9 Bankruptcy to get from beneath a cloud of debt that's been hanging over the county far too long.

As for any further delays, or deals to settle billions of dollars of debt, commissioners say there will not be another stand still like the one reached with creditors over the summer.
