ANNISTON, Ala. (WIAT) - Secretary of Homeland Defense Janet Napolitano, has seen first hand the controversy surrounding an immigration law like Alabama's. She was governor of Arizona for six years before moving to her current position.
She toured Auburn University's Canine Detection Center in Anniston Monday. She was given a tour and watched a demonstration. During her visit, she commented on the continued battle surrounding illegal immigration enforcement.
She also said that she liked what she saw from the canine units and would like to see more of them nationwide.
