Scores of the Metro Area's best economic minds united in Jefferson County this Wednesday morning.
The think-tank may hold the key to Alabama's future economic development.
The meeting-of-the-minds is the second of eight workshops being conducted across the state.
The Alabama Economic Alliance hopes to use suggestions from these forums to retool the state's image for business recruitment.
Greg Canfield is the Director of the Alabama Development Office and says job growth is Governor Robert Bentley's top priority.
"With unemployment as high as it has been not only nationally, but at 10% in the State of Alabama, the creation of new jobs and the expansion of existing business to create new jobs is of critical importance."
