(Birmingham)--CBS42's Ken Lass surprised Center Street Middle School counselor Carol Turner with a $1,000 check at an assembly.  The grant was part of CBS42's One Class at a Time education project.  Miss Turner intends to use the money to purchase still photo cameras that students can use to form a student photography staff.

Any teacher can apply for a One Class at a Time grant.  Just go to cbs42.com, click on "Features", and follow the "One Class" link to the application form.  The grant winner is featured each week during the school year on CBS42 News at Six.

The co-sponsors for One Class at a Time are Pepsi and America's First.  Watch the video!
