Could bingo save Jefferson County?

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - Bingo operators say they can help Jefferson County.  Their offer is to give Jefferson County four million dollars a month, if the county gives them the green light them to re-open.

The President of the Bessemer Cutoff Bingo Association says they could give the county between four and five million a month if they were allowed to operate without fear of being raided.

It's been more than a year since they were forced to shut down.  the bingo association president says the idea has only met with rejection so far.
