Birmingham, Ala (WIAT) Congressman Spencer Bachus has counter attacked the publishers of the book THROW THEM ALL OUT saying there are "several major and serious untruths and outright factual errors" about him in the book.
The book by Peter Schweizer was also the basis of a 60 Minutes segment last Sunday in which Bachus and other congressional leaders including Nancy Pelosi and John Boehner were accused on so-called soft corruption....using information gained in congressional briefings to play the stock market for personal gain. 60 Minutes was careful to stress that it appeared no laws had been broken but questioned the propriety and ethics of the actions.
Bachus did not give an interview to 60 Minutes but his press secretary denied any wrongdoing by the 6th District Republican.
Peter Schweizer is the William J. Casey Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution. He's generally considered on the conservative side of the political spectrum.

Bachus also appeared on CNBC'S Kudlow Report and again said Schweizer is wrong in major assertions including his dealings in GE stock.
