BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - The National Highway Safety Administration shows the number of highway deaths dropped to 32,885 in 2010 -- the lowest since 1949.
According to numbers reported by the Alabama State Troopers, 498 people lost their lives on Alabama roadways in 2010 -- down significantly from the 728 deaths reported in 2007.
