It's called "Dante's Inferno" and the explicit nature of this game is stirring up some controversy.
Melissa Morris didn't realize the graphic nature of her son's new video game, "Dante's Inferno."
"I didn't know anything about it, he said he wanted it, so I got it."
Based on an epic poem, this mature video game goes beyond what's left to the imagination. It even surprised her 17-year old son, Yale.
"I've never seen graphic details like that on a video game before, so for it to be on a game, it shocked me," Yale says.
But "Dante's Inferno" isn't alone in the category of graphic. That's why there is a rating system.
"For gaming you have a children's rating all the way up to adults. There is a lot of violence, blood and gore and some nudity."
The Entertainment Software Rating Board has strict guidelines to how they rate video games. But do parents actually understand for their children's video game experience?
"When a kid comes in the parent is okay without taking notice, I think that's something parents should educate themselves on," Hurst says.
Something Melissa says she will now pay close attention to.
"Parents need to read the back of the package especially if they are buying for anyone under 17."
