BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - The flags are waving, the snacks are ready, and a there's a whole lot of rivalry.

"Roll Tide!!"

But this isn't you're average Iron Bowl tailgate.

Many of the men who live here at Changed Lives Christian Center have never been to a tailgate, so the tailgate was brought to them.

"I think this is kind of giving them first hand something that they may or may not be able to experience on their own," says volunteer, Zenobia Marshall.

"For my family it's traditional, I mean we're a split family, but for these men some of them have never had the opportunity to experience this kind of comraderie so we just felt like this could be the best thing to do for these men," says Rhonda Marshall, executive director at Changed Lives Christian Center.

The chance to get lost in a game, and have a good time.

"I never been to an actual game, but I have watched plenty of games since I was a kid. So I love football and it's a big tradition here, it makes a good get together," says Doug Hill, an Alabama fan.

"This will be my first one, but I'm enjoying every bit of it. Tiger man all the way!" exclaims Stan Gaiters, an Auburn fan.

But whether they're an Auburn or Alabama fan, these men are here with one common goal, to turns their lives around.

"It's a great day for all of us being here. We appreciate it, and Changed Lives Center- it's the greatest place to be, and the personnel the people here are great, they treat people nice, and right, try to help us get back on our feet and stuff," says Gaiters.

But for just one day, a difference of opinion...

"War Eagle!"

...is alright by them.
