Six to eight inches of rain caused some major issues in Shelby County Wednesday evening.  Roads were closed by the rising waters.  But that wasn't the worst of it.

The side of a mountain fell into a Pelham neighborhood demolishing a carport and damaged two cars and a motorhome.  The lot of a nearby mobile home lot looked more like a lake than a place of business.

That's the property damage, but the area was very close to a lost life.  A Helena police officer saved a woman's life after she got stuck in a drainage ditch.  Capt. Jim Tucker says the woman was trying to clear a clogged storm drain when she got caught in the current.  The first officer on the scene held her head out of water until help arrived.
