It's a nationwide phenomenon and now it's in bookstores. Sarah Palin's new book, "Going Rogue" has finally hit the shelves and it's getting quite the response.

It's a 400-page, behind-the-scenes glimpse of one of the most talked about women in the country. And "Going Rogue" is written by Sarah Palin herself.

"She is the strong woman that people here in the south, that we can relate to. She's the kind of kind of strong woman that my mother is, my wife is," said Luke Brown.

Brown is one of thousands of folks in this area who have decided to buy a copy. Some bought because of political interest...

"I just kinda wanted to know the behind the scenes of what happened during the campaign and I just really was intrigued by her character. I think so few politicians have character and morals," said Rebecca Daughtery, a 24-year-old Palin supporter.

Others bought it because of personal intrigue...

"I really think she touches the American people. She's a parent. She's a leader. So everybody can touch her and kinda live in her footsteps a little bit, so she really relates to the normal people," said Christine Corbitt, who works at Books A Million.

And then there are those who have no intent of getting past the cover, such as 19-year-old Ginny Blair.

"I just don't think her values are exactly in place. I can't imagine her writing this book for anything else but political gain and people wanting to be interested in her," said Blair.

While her parents love Palin, Ginny Blair says she won't be handing her money to the former vice presidential candidate.

"I do think her life could be interesting and that would be interesting to read, but my bias is already there against her so i wouldn't really want to support her by buying her book," added Blair.

Many are excited about not only buying the book, but also meeting Sarah Palin in person.

"I'm gonna buy the book today and I'm gonna try to come back Monday when she's here and do the whole stand-in-line and get an autograph thing," said Brown.

And it just so happens that the Books A Million in Brookwood Village is the only store in the state to be graced by Palin's presence. Palin will be signing books in the upper level of the store from 4:30 to 7:30pm on Monday, November 23rd. If you'd like to meet her, make sure to buy your copy, save your receipt (from Books A Million) and show up on Sunday to get a line number. For more information, contact Christine Corbitt at 205-870-0213.
