Etowah County, AL (WIAT) CBS 42 received this "must watch" video from Etowah Co. Sheriff. It shows a woman trying to set a car on fire, but unfortunately for her, catching herself on fire in the process. According to the sheriff, the woman allegedly covered the car in gasoline and then lit the car. The woman appeared to try making a trail of gasoline leading to the car, but when that didn't work, went right to the source- with disastrous results.

Two individuals have been arrested and charged with a criminal mischief offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Haleigh Elizabeth Boland, 26, and her father Benny Gene Boland, 50, both of Boaz, was arrested and each charged with one count of first degree criminal mischief, which is a felony,” states Investigator Shane Hartley.
The Boland’s allegedly poured gasoline on a vehicle and set it on fire at a residence located on Carlisle Cut-Off Road in the Mountainboro community. The incident occurred on May 8th. Both daughter and father were arrested on May 18th.
Haleigh’s vehicle had been repossessed by an individual who live at the residence on Carlisle Cut-Off Road. In retaliation of setting the victim’s car on fire, Haleigh caught herself on fire.
“When contacting the victim, she stated a video camera was set up at the residence and captured the incident on tape,” states Investigator Hartley.
The video shows Haleigh catching herself on fire and taking off the burning clothes as she ran to a vehicle to drive away.
When Investigator Hartley interviewed the Boland’s, Haleigh confessed to being the individual seen in the video. She suffered first and second degree burns on her upper body.
Both Haleigh and Benny have been released on $2,500 bond each
